Rechargeable NiMh batteries with a big difference to standard rechargeables.  They maintain 90% of their capacity even after 1 year of storage.  This makes them the perfect rechargeable battery for our cameras.  They are also rated to 1800 charge cycles.  They are the choice battery for professional photographers that need something with loads of power and many charge cycles.  These batteries come separately. 

Most rechargeable batteries lose charge quite quickly when they aren't in use, which can make them unsuitable for our cameras.  Our cameras require a battery that can hold their charge for extended periods (months) and then when required to take a photo or video draw a lot of power from the battery.  These new eneloops rechargeables do just that.  They can hold charge like an alkaline battery and then they also are able to deliver enough power for the cameras to take photos and video over long periods.  Check out the following review on the Eneloop here.
